hi neptune...

it was my build but no longer here!! i decided i had to many models...going on at the time!! and i dont live in sydney anymore now in brisbane!!
i build merchant ships now.... tried to post pics but far to large!!
doing the queen mary model at present...

While searching through the topics as preparation to a new project, I came across this one and wondered if there was any progress on this build?
Started a long while back, but it looks like an interesting build, so I'm curious. :wave_1:

hi there,

Finally ship in scale near 1/200 - 1/192...

It will be interesting to see building of such big ship with so many details...

hi dave,

yes i am useing the booklet of general plans of uss boxer from the floating drydock,and hull plans from them,and the anatomy of the ship uss essex and warships pictorial book of uss ticonderoga,and i also got the uss interpid plans from the floating drydock of 1960s refit for another model,had some trouble with frames but got that sorted,and of course this web site,the model scale is 1/192 and i just got some compartment access plans of uss essex from the floating drydock scale 1/96 huge plans,have to reduce them to 1/192 scale,50% on the photocopier would fix that.

uss essex class carrier of the us navy,has to be uss boxer of the uss ticonderoga cv 14,i wanted it to be the uss essex but i did it with the long hull and not the short hull :mad_1: my mistake but i am happy with it beening the long hull,i started this 3 weeks ago,cheers matt
