Nice shots Herbie. Never got that close myself due the the bad weather. You were out for sometime during the rain, Did you get any water inside your model?

Congrats mate for winning best Military model and best first model at the TF72 regatta!! Well Done!!

Was great to finally meet you, pity the weather was slightly damp!! here's a pic of the two Yamato's together!! Yours is the closer one... (Phone pic and horrible fog and light rain)

Good to see She made it onto the water!! :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

I look forward to seeing her in Nov at the TF72 Regatta!! Several of us from SA are driving over....1280km each way! It will be interesting to see your Yamato alongside Warner's Yamato!! (and possibly Dave's too!!)

Cheers Bruce

Hopefully this will work

Thankyou for all kind comments
repairs to that cursed shaft underway, I cut a hole in hull, have removed offending rubber coupling, am awaiting new metal ones

Found this far easier, and cheaper than disturbing all that work on the deck
(BIG LESSON LEARNT TO BE APPLIED TO NEXT BUILD!!! steep learning curve and all that
next sail 28th November, TF72 at wentworth falls.

Well done Herbie. Wish I was able to have seen her run but came to late. At least I stopped you losing your outer prop.
I tried to run my model only to forget to attach my arel to my mast. And stupid me reversed over it chopping it to bits. Oh well back to the repair bench like you.

Simply awesome mate!! don't feel bad shakedown and sea trials are never free of errors and setbacks, I'm real glad she held up well together though.

Great looking ship!!!!!
Incredibly big though, that shows very well when you put her next to your own house.

I'll be following your next build too.

Greetings Josse
