nice start, if you built her 1/72 I could have molded turrets for her, once I get that method tackled. Attachment:

this one bulged and looks more like the armor on a mark 4 panzer, but Im re making the mold thicker to see if I can get a better cast on the second go. the turrets on teh light cruisres and the secondaries on the battle cruisers, and battleships were the same demensions, with slight detail diferences weather they were dual, or triple gun mounts.

i have decided on a glass fibre hull , less fuss and just as much fun plus low maintenance , is there a better replacement for resin ? ? Because resin is a pain to work off and to flatten

Hi Diederick,
I think you have to be registered for this forum, but they show quite a few photos which might be helpful for you: http://benjaminweinert.de/fma/index.php/topic,15490.msg179104.html#msg179104
There's even a kit of Leipzig - unfortunately pretty expensive: http://www.shopssl.de/epages/es119126.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/es119126_MZ-Modellbau/Products/B-Leipzig http://www.shopssl.de/epages/es119126.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/es119126_MZ-Modellbau/Products/A-Leipzig
Best wishes Lars

ahoy lars well i picked a odd scale because people usually build things in 1:100 and so on . Leipzig is a very unique ship to me so the scale i wanted should have been very unique and thats how i decided on 1:113 just to add some flavour to the site and something new , the build itself is experimental

Hi Diederick, 1:113 is quite a unique scale. Have you ever thought of building in 1:100 which is quite common for DKM models? You will find a lot of bits and pieces for DKM-ships in 1:100 fon instance here: http://www.shopssl.de/epages/es119126.sf/de_DE/?ObjectPath=/Shops/es119126_MZ-Modellbau. Best wishes Lars
