Wish I had known; I could have supplied a fair amount of material.

I think you did extremely well. It certainly looks like an Akizuki class.

Thanks Dan,
When I was building the model I used the Kagero 3 D super drawing book and plan. My reason I called it Shamotsuki was I liked the name and it translates to “Frosty or November Moon “

During the pre build , I did not find a lot of war time pictures for this class which I could use, but what I did it looks as my model is not to far from the actual class.

Hi Tom,
It was cast from a RTV mould, but I run the Fast Cast resin around the mould which left a thin wall of resin thus this gave me the thin wall cast.

Nice job on the longboat with oars. Is the hull cast or vacuformed? I cast my LCVP's and life rafts for my APA but did the P-boats and LSM's from basswood. Castings can be nice, I cast the MK38 and MK 37 directors plus 5" twin mounts for my 1:192 Missouri.

Interesting ship! Tom

Hi All,
This is my first posting.

I thought you may like to see a picture of my 1/100 scratch build Akazuki class destroyer. The post is when it was at the stage were I was building the masters for the two ship boats. If there interest I can post some picture of the build.
