As for the Texas we have researched both New York and Texas at the same time. So we need few days for additinal researching time for Texas.
But as for the Marat, we have not looked over the kit and real ship reference yet. Especially we had researched and realized main deck parts on Sevastopol with many days and times and I remember this deck is not compatible with real Marat deck. With these reasons we cant release Marat set yet.
If we have more references and material, we may start for marat. But now we have many projects promised to release.
Thank you Kemho Kim

Hello... I have two Pontos Model's Sevastopol-sets and two Sevastopol kits. I planned to building Petropavlovsk (in Helsinki) and somebody its sistership perhaps Parizhskaya Kommuna (A special bow of the solution) I will very surprised if Pontos will not interesting about Marat!? "Well currently we have noplan to make for marat. But many parts of Sevastopol can be used to Marat but Deck parts may not be compatible with Marat because we had designed deck parts just for the Sevastopol." But you will plan for Texas? "Trumpeter announced BB-35 Texas so we may start after then. Already we have finished the researching Texas with New York." My think Marat have good options for Sevastopol- detail set, for example "Advanced plus for Marat", I mean that somebodies can buying Sevastopol- detail set and also Advanced Plus for Marat. Needs only new parts: Marat's bow, tower and guns... I have near all Pontos sets, they are so great! Only Mikasa-set I'm a bit disapointed. Hopefully somebodies other manufacturer will doing for Marat photo-etch-parts if Pontos will not.... I have 2 Marat- kits, too, I have planning building Marat and somebody its sistership, perhaps Gangut 1950-version or Oktyabrskaya Revoluciya (1939) Jonne

Thank you Christian, We try to realize amost parts effectively and easily to modelers but there are some areas that user should study for better assembling.
Joint holes of (yard arm an mast) may be needed some extra enlarging work (with knife or drills). But in this case, if possible, please enlarge the hole slightly.
We've missed the long ladders on the Masts. We will try toadd some extra ladders at Marat. Our sets are mainly for expert modelers so hope you have some extra generic ladder in your PE box.
Thank you Kim

Hello, I tghink some feedback is welcome for manufactures about their sets, so I will do from time to time here. Because I finished aft mast now, I must for the first say that this was very well done again to do by Pontos with that brass and PE parts. Only brass parts 09 and 11 (2x), as wel PE part 321 (2x) should other way made as instruction tells, because more complicated as necessary in my opinion. If you glue these 5 parts for it's own together first and then complete construction under upper platform it is more easy, too, because PE 321 connection can be bended when sticking, means brass part 11 beams can be put in correct angle without any problem then. Here a picture of what I mean. Further, as told in my construction thread of model at work in progress area here, there is anything missing with what crew can climb up to both platforms on mast. As far as DariusP and I found out, there were rungs on the back of mast (innerside) of Gangut class, but these are missing completly at Zvezda's mast too, but also as PE part here by Pontos to stick on brass mast. Parts fit all well together, only PE part 299 (connection of the 2 mast main parts brass 05 and 07) is a problem, because holes are not correct in diameter ... means bigger hole is too large for brass 05 (not a real problem) and smaller hole is too small for brass 07 (a real problem) at my set I have. I changed hole for brass 07 (upper mast part) by opening that it is more a "U" shap and then it fits. However, because this is first brass mast I ever made now at ships, I can not make comparison, but I can say that Set made it at least easy to make a very good mast, which is for light years better as any plastic mast.

Hello, that's what I thought too when looking in instructions. Was only a little bit confusing when markings on wooden deck tells other as parts and instruction. But i must really make a about stripes in general, because easy and best solution with PE parts to glue on wooden deck. Also system is easy to follow with starting at bow with 001 and you have to make line for line ... you need normally not even to take a look on instructions, because sequense on PE sheet is the same with number after number and if splitted from parts a to c or d too (i.e. 012 a to c) and always from left to right (port to starboard). Until now I have only one bad part found - a ladder on back of turret where to climb into hatch - because it was nearly loose in sheet and became totally bent. Was not saved unfortunatelly, but maybe I have a replacement in spare box (rest from other PE Sets).

Christian, We drawn intendly these 109-114 as one long line on the wooden deck... Because not to interfere PE 289 and some other PE related parts on the Boat detail section with these stripe 109-114 as each user may apply slightly to different location of PE289. At any case after any applying, you may find these are no problem after applying all.
Thank you Kim

Your welcome But a next, but very small "complaint" ... Still sticking the PE stripes on deck in moment, there is from line n° 109 (between 3rd and 4th turret) onwards a printing mistake on wooden deck in my opinion. Marking on wooden deck tells that all long stripes, but PE part and instruction tell they are splitted in several stripes each line. No real problem of course, so only for notification. Cheers, Christian

Hello, first of all I'm very pleased to see that Pontos corrected the lasercut deck. By fact the horiziontal bars were steel beams and not wooden as on first pictures visible. Looking on pictures above, the set includes (now) silver PE stripes to glue on these bars (there is a refelction of the brass crane on them visible) and this solution is only to rate as excellent! Secondly I will make first time and as exception now my ship with these lasercut deck. I prefer to paint decks and can do with good result (see my Varyag and HMS Warspite in work in progress) ... But the painting of these steel beams inside wooden deck goes far beyond my current abilities, unfortunatelly. The wooden deck with the improvement of these PE parts now is a much better result as I can paint in moment! You see, in comparsion to the lasercut deck, my work is *peep* in result! About gutters, Jim Baumann still told and explained very well ... the same way as I still planned to do and will do on my model.
