I think part of it is interpretation of the forced perspective of the CAD flightdeck image. Look further down at the sprue with the 3 elevators and make your comparison there instead.

I really hope that community finds a way to pass this one to Flyhawk, because we sure have people here who communicated with them on the British carriers. It would really be sad if the main mentioned bits arent fixed, though it can be a tad late.

As for point 1 with overscaled hull plates - the render does exaggerate them - but - this is a major problem of every new kit thats coming out. I started adding hull plates to my builds very early on, but I used a paint build up method and masking tape. What I see today is so so not subtle and over scale that one has to really make a call if removing those is the only solution. I really wish manufacturers stop it with the over plated models.

I'd like to think that this is not a final 3D rendering. Perhaps if you emailed your critique to them, it might prompt some changes.

3: starboard bow 5" gun platform should be overhanging from the hull not flush as appears on the model's pictures.

The Castle class from Triumph was released back in 2022 and is actually a resin kit (note the Ebay store stole their images from [url=https://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10907701]Hobby Search[/url], watermark and all).

the cad drawing shows 4 anchors but only 3 chains so what is holding the 4th anchor in place?
the hull plating is overscaled & I don't think in the right layout.
the turret sloped sides might be sloped to much as tho the turrets are to wide which means the barbettes are to wide which would explain the spacing of the gun ports in the turret's face.
what are those 2 groups of 11 splotches on the upper deck on either side of the main turrets?
I wonder if the plans for this model came from a pc game like "World of Warships" or similar as that is what it looks to me. I have the plans for the main turrets besides the Booklet of General Plans 1941 for the ship.

AFV Club had already announced this kit in 1/700 scale last year in Veldhoven, now it is at least in the new products list together with various photo-etched part sets for variants of the Oliver Hazard Perry and Knox class:

This release is a result of marketing and copyright; HMS Belfast is a trademark so Trumpeter can't sell their kit quite so easily within the UK - you still can't get the 1:700 one here unless you import.

Bachmann were working on adding it to the AIP range for quite some time. At least, according to my local rep who always insisted I ''stayed tuned'' whenever I asked him what was happening RE the 700 one! Interesting that they opted for the 1:350.
