I would search for pictures of docked ships as an inspiration. They would indicate how wear patterns develop.

Hello,

I'm about to finish weathering my Bismarck model and intend to weather the lower hull as well. Any advice how to do that? Is there a tutorial available or at least some good reference pictures? Bismarck didn't had a real long career but I assume the trial period in the baltic left her hull quite worn. Thanks for any help!
