How about stretching a piece of sprue to just the right diameter, then cutting off micro-slices?

Jim,

As you have seen, that fret has a lot of uses, besides aircraft.

I have also used parts of it to blank off scuttles, the arrestor hooks can be adapted for aerial spreaders on Type 42 destoryers etc.....
