How about stretching a piece of sprue to just the right diameter, then cutting off micro-slices?
Dear Jim,
How about stretching a piece of sprue to just the right diameter, then cutting off micro-slices?

Jim,
As you have seen, that fret has a lot of uses, besides aircraft.
I have also used parts of it to blank off scuttles, the arrestor hooks can be adapted for aerial spreaders on Type 42 destoryers etc.....

tampions for RN guns in 1/700
Hi guys--
making good progress now with WEM 1/700 HMS Queen Elizabeth 1918; but being built as in in 1922.-with aircraft ramps on turrets
Just fitted the main armament--using Steve Nuttalls very nice brass drilled barrels... it seemed a shame to cover up the lovely mouth of the gun--but every photo of QE in in peaceyime shows her with tampions fitted.
How to make? embossed small circular disc in brass..?
aha! WEM 1/700 aircraft parts--seek out the relvant size wheel(circular), cut out and apply.
Add a small dollop of Krystal clear, and wash lightly with black wash-to take the shine off brass--
