Hey, Kelly: Thanks so much for your help. I really appreciate it. I found the good stuff finally!!! Did you carve the soft metal just using the hobby knife, or did you use any special tool to do it?

Help again... |
 |
|
Hi, all:
I don't know if I'm very stupid with the computer or something else. I just seem to be not able to find the soft metal weapon stuff that Kelly talked about on the GHQ website. Does anyone have any idea that can help me out? Thanks.

Hi, all:
Thank you very much for your precious answers to my questions. Even though I have a hard time finding the weapons from GHQ since most of them are the wargame miniatures, as you all mentioned in your replies, I think I will find them somewhere soon.
To your response, Tim, I put Vancouver in general, but I am located in Burnaby, specifically, around Metrotown area. It is nice to know some Vancouver people around. Keep in good touch. We all have the same hobby to share.
Thank you all very much again for your help and time. I really appreciate.

You can get GHQ online at http://www.warweb.com/I've ordered stuff from them in the past (they're a great source of figures and the Thoroughbred 1/600 Civil War ironclads) and recommend them. -Devin

The weapons sets are made by GHQ, and are actually made for war gamers. They are made of soft metal, and are slightly over scale. However, if you carve down the pylons they look pretty good. I found the sets at Hobbytown, so I would assume any good hobby shop would carry them.

Think Kelly Quick scratch-built the ones on his Enterprise.
There is a LHunt fellow currently starting to make masters of 1/350 weapons and drop tank loads for modern aircraft. Last I heard he was trying to get with Loose Canon Models to make them.
So, as of 01/20/05 there isn't any company making them. Wish here was, I could of used them when I built my Enterprise and Nimitz kits.

1/350 Modern Aircraft Weapon Load Detail |
 |
|
Hi, all:
I wonder if anyone knows how to make or where to buy the 3D weapon load on the 1/350 modern aircrafts like those ones made by Kelly Quirk for the 1/350 USS Enterprise, because the PE is only 2D, not realistic enough. Thank you.
