Hi,

Well, I would do it in this way:
I would paint out each color except the black. Then use masking tape and liquid mask for concealing the painted areas. Then paint the black. If the masking tape pulls up the paint, I would correct it with a brush. The brush would be a small liner brush which is used for painting busts or other model figures, something like this: http://www.artistpaintbrush.com/script-liner-detail-brushes-c-205.html

Hi all, glad to be a new member.
I am building the Revel USS Constitution and am ready to start painting after a year (on and off) of getting parts ready to assemble.
I have read up on how the deck should be done but cannot find how in the heck you guys finish detail galley exterior.
I am amazed with the detail and sharp lines of what I have seen.
How do I go about painting the Detail on the back of the ship, is this all freehand with a brush or is there a trick to it.
Here is a link to one that I think did a really nice job, image 3 of 31. http://modelkit.us/uss-constitution-mod ... l-30-foto/
Thanks,
Steve
