Topic review - Inclined ladders 1/350 -- best?

Hello,

having some difficulty with some 1/350 inclined ladders where the brass is rather thick, or the step connectors are too big - so making a mess of folding the steps up. Anyone have a view as to which manufacturer makes the best (easiest to fold) ladders? There must also be a special technique to this stage of the process too.

Happy Christmas!

Atlantic Models/WEM HMS Gorleston (ex-USCG cutter) building - rather nice.
