mate - that is looking awesome! I really like some of the Japanese battleships and cruisers. I'd love to make the Hyuga in her original form in 1/350 but I just can't bring myself to do the necessary mods to the only kit that exists of it said scale. I've been eying off the Haruna lately too.
I will be tuning into this build for sure. You do very inspirational work Joe!

the recent works show the promise of a superb model! :thumbs_up_1:

Progress since last update. I finished filling the excel spreadsheet and created plating detail using spray primer. I cut all the butt ends in the deck planks using the Flyhawk wood deck as a template. I rebuilt detail along the casement walls using 0.005 wire for weld lines and styrene for the casement gun stops. I painted the deck with various colors and washes and used a sharpened pencil to highlight the plank detail. I also added the degaussing cable and plated over the appropriate port holes. I also added photo etch port holes over the unplated ones.

Thank you for fixing the brick wall hull of the Nagato. Finally I see someone do this. That model never looks good without this correction and you took that task head on! :thumbs_up_1:

Exactly. And what a P-I-A that is.

But, you've excelled at filling the spreadsheet.

Thank you gentleman! The acrylic worked pretty well but I did supplement it with Tamiya primer as I worked on it. The model is further along than these photos suggest.

I love Hasegawa's kit but absolutely hate the excel spread sheet. The lines are all filled in. I added the tape and have started priming to get a hull plating effect. When I remove the tape I'll have raised plating and no excel spreadsheet!
