Masked up to the waterline, AS-16 Light grey on and start masking the sexy camo.

So sorry, forgot to take photos of 2nd and 3rd stage of the hull camo process. These are the outcome.

Due to some grey sip through the masking and stained the waterline, I respray it, mask the full hull and start working on the superstructure camo. Some photos forgotten during the progress.

Camo of the superstructure done. Some touch up is needed. Finally relieved. Hopefully not too bad for this 2nd ship.

Add a fourth one to that mix. Incredible level of detail and execution.

Of course, I don't think the Mighty Mo ever got quite that dirty while wearing that scheme, but what do we care? It looks fantastic. :thumbs_up_1:

I agree. It's a great job. I'm building the same ship and has some difficulty for a good paint job.

Great job!!!
That was not an easy masking job on that superstructure full of PE... :)

This is looking really great! All the PE and your good detail work really make the details jump out at you.

When I was a kid, my buddies and I all had to build the Mighty Mo. We didn't have PE then, and I can still remember all of the quad 40MM's looked like anything but guns. Each two barrel set was joined in the middle. I can't even remember which company made that kit.

Very nice paint job! I also have this kit and eventually will make it, just like you did, with a full hull

I am amazed at how you got some of the molded on detailing removed without messing up the deck detailing. How did you do that?

Hi, Im using this. place the blade 180 degree flat and slice it through. The blade is sharp enough to cut through without forcing too much and damage the deck. Same method i use to remove the mold in stairs.

Hello, some update here, single AA gun done, plastic ammo box and barrier replace with PE. Not really nice work on the PE ammo box, screwed up a few, not really neat.

That's awesome work, mate, I had a hard enough time doing the kit 20mms for Tamyia's 1/350 version!

Truly OUTSTANDING work, your PE is really clean. Hard to believe that your only on your second ship. Keep up the great work, I'll be following this one for sure as I have the same kit and PE in the stash for a later build.

The small "cranes" are practice loading machines for the 5"38's. Two so you can get some competition going, we specially with the marines.
