I too hope that once Ill get to this stage and rather than sit on unbuilt or half done projects, I actually take your attitutude and complete something, 4 kits unbuilt waiting their turn, none getting ahead. Good job on Alaska! Sometimes you really do need to move on, passion can end on a particular subject and your mind is already elsewhere. Important to not let it get to that stage and do a little bit every day.

Nice! Funny, I thought my Alaska build would be a "quick build", and it took me 3+ years as well!

I recently finished my HobbyBoss 1/350 scale USS Alaska and wanted to share how it turned out. This was supposed to be a quick build, but ended up taking 2-3 years, largely due to my job and other real life priorities. I would have liked to add some weathering (and I still can at a later date), but I really wanted to move on. Definitely a couple errors and more than a few “creative simplifications” in the spirit of getting her done. Thanks for looking!
