I toned down the cotton on the water base this time, I think the lighter water colours underneath made it look better than my previous kit where I made the cotton more voluminous and it covered water painting under the gloss medium. Also the gloss medium for the waves I just smacked it with the popsicle creating the peaks rather than trying to actively trying to make waves in a pattern and I think it turned out great and it was easier to do.
