That's a cool build. Love it. And very nice pics - didn't realize there was a replica. The plan to build that was most likely hatched over Irish whiskey.... :heh:

I love this majestic seaplane.


Having spent 10 days in the south-west and west of Ireland at the end of May 2019, I took the opportunity to visit two aviation related sites (there are few in Ireland).

Foynes is located along the river Shannon which leads to the town of Shannon and its airport. It is now a port for merchant ships.

In this museum you can visit the only replica of the Boeing 314 in the world.

Apologies if this is not the right place to post this subject, but it does have a hull and is floating on the water!
