Here we have the waterline model of the USS Saratoga (CV-3) by Tamiya. At 1/700 scale and 15” long it appears that she has run aground. She also displays the very seldom used “ocean blue” deck camouflage, hopefully to disguise her from enemy aircraft. (I actually don’t have the patience or skills of many of you master modelers, just basically have some fun) I understood that the black stripe on her stack was to distinguish her from the Lexington which resembled her to a “T”.
