Topic review - Provana's last dive, 1/400

No, no you give me too much credit. This is Provana's last INTENTIONAL dive, before attack on the convoy. Glass is intact, it's just reflection of my desk lamp. She went to bottom in two pieces and I'd had to add the sloops bow.... too much honest work

Outstanding. A very original idea. Love the details such as the smashed glass following depth charges. Great seascape too.
Bravo! :cool_2:

Andrea Provana, Provana for short, was Italian Marcello class a submarine. It was known for being sunk as the first submarine of the Italian Navy, a week after the declaration of war on France . Provana attacked French convoy near Oran on June 16, 1940. The torpedoes missed, but their tracks (because it happened in broad daylight) led the French sloop La Curieuse to Provana's position. The French first pelted it with depth charges, and then when Provana came to the surface, rammed it and cut it in half. The official version is that the Italians wanted to surface to fight it out, but they could also have been damaged by depth charges and surfaced to save their lives.

I had a PE sail of the Marcello class... and nothing else  ;) I had it for years and finally got the idea what to do with it. Here is my first finished project of 2025 :cool_2:
