Pretty sure they were painted the same color and pattern as any superstructure behind, or following the same colors as the hull beneath.

railings color in camouflage during II WW
I'm preparing to my next model and I'm collecting materials about Admiral Hipper. I want to build them in camouflage scheme (probably march 1942) but I have a problem with railings color. All were they grey or in camouflage color, especially in places were camouflage occured?
