Colour recommendations for post-WW2 USN can be found in the stickied thread "USN modern colors" at the top of this section of the forum.

I will soon be ready to start painting my 1:350 kitbashed model of the aircraft carrier USS America - CVA66, as she was at commissioning in 1965 (I'm a plank owner). I've had good luck using enamel paints in my airbrush and I'm not sure I want to chance using water-based paint. Also, what color paints would you recommend for the hull, decks, and flight deck?
