So, here is where things stand after getting paint on the Mutsu this past week. I used the newly released Scale Colors acrylics with nary a hitch or issue. Look for them here: https://scalecolors.com/I have to attach the waterline base, build, paint and attach the aircraft, paint and attach the lifeboats and then attempt the rigging (having never done it in 1/700 scale before). 1/700 Aoshima Mutsu reclamation project |

So, I snagged this one as a started kit for $2 at Blizzcon two weekends ago. It's missing some parts and there is a bit of damage. So far I've repaired the damage and am getting it reassembled.
