Articles about the crane operator on 12/7 (George Walters) state that this is was a 50 ton portal crane.

Thanks, Dan. I'll check those out. When I started researching Dry Dock 1 and working on the CAD a few years ago, I could've swore I had more resources than I'm able to find now. Computer ate 'em, I guess.

I'm looking for some information on the crane in this famous USS Yorktown photo. After some digging, I haven't been able to find anything on the type of crane, it's size, etc. Drawings or plans would be amazing, but if I could just get some dimensions, that'd be close enough for my digital modeling needs. There's also a massive crane on the other side of Yorktown, and data on that would be also welcome, but it's not as critical.

Does anyone have any leads on where to look? Thanks.
