EVs 1/700 Truxtun

by Bill Oreto » Sat Sep 20, 2025 11:09 am

EVs 3D printed 1/700 Truxtun kit, well what can I say but wow! No I am not a professional reviewer but excellent kit. Came through with no tariff . Packed well, all printed in gray resin, detail is excellent though I am always a little suspicious of scale of EVs accessories. Under scale upon my untrained eye. I probably will replace with other 3D accessories from Muyi and others. Masts and other detail are photo-etch. Upon glance it reminds me of Trumpeters photo-etch. One bend and snap. Hope not. Decal sheet included with hull numbers and deck markings. Kit represents Truxtun in her late fit with Harpoon canisters in waist and CIWSs forward. The beauty of it all the Chinese have learned to include instructions . I was much worried the kit would come with no instructions. I hate model kits with no instructions. If I wanted a puzzle I would buy one.

3D printed part sprues are labeled (just like a normal kit) and correspond to instruction sheet which is done in color. ISW/Commanders did a 1/700 Truxtun in early fit (always excellent customer service from that organization) I built the early fit. Exciting now to build the subject in late fit.

Now this is a fluff review. Others can be more precise than I but an excellent unique subject for us Reagan era navy guys. Highly recommended. Worth the expense. :thumbs_up_1:
