I think the Mar 20 opening date was from a previous hiatus. IIRC, he said he’d be closed only in August when he closed down this time.

The Starling website says March 20th.

Starling Models has announced that they will release 1/700 scale kits of the Q and R class destroyers after their August break. So I assume that means September.

I don't have any information on the kits you're interested in, but I've placed numerous orders with Starling over they years and have found their service and products to be excellent. It's a true "mom and pop" shop, so they sometimes have challenges of being a niche manufacturer, but well worth supporting.

Trumpy offers Tashkent in 1/700th; either 1940 or 1942 fit.
I've built the 1942.

Joy Yard has shown a computer image of a Type 7 Morsky Flot destroyer on their site for years.
I'm up for one if they EVER release the damn thing :(

I am thinking of buying the following kits from Starling models:

1/700
Destroyer Scorpion
frigate Rother
Sloop Leith
Anyone build these kits and have any comments on them?
Does anyone know if Starling will come out with a 1/700 kit of the Q and R class WW II War Emergency destroyer? They seem to have the later classes S to Ca of them.

Are there any 1/700 WW II Soviet destroyer models out there? I know on in 1/350 scale has just come out
