Looks great and I'm going to try some of your tips on my Akagi. I just picked up the new mold from Hasegawa. The new kit I must say is outstanding!

For the large guns , Im not sure why you used rod cut at an angle. isnt the gun platform a cylinder?

Bloody hell!.
I have the full hull version in 1/700 with the lion roar set, and i was always wary of the amount of work needed on this.Seeing yours makes things even worse.If i ever get my hands on it , your build will help me a lot to speed up the process of correcting flaws.
Can't wait to see it painted.
