Heya, Folks,
As I've got the 1/72 Trumpeter LCAC on order I was wondering what small, non-time-consuming improvements I could make...
I read somewhere that each of the propeller shafts extend into the two power plant structures on either side of the boat. Thus, I would guess you could see the prop shaft through the PE mesh screens and spaces in the superstructures. Apologies if "prop shaft" is the wrong terminology --- "axel" and "hub" were the only other words I could think of.
Does anyone have any close ups of this area where you can see how far forward they extend? I have not been able to find any close up shots of these areas amidships (again, hope I'm using the proper terminology), but am hoping that I might be able to zoom in on some of the Navy's hi-res shots so that I might be able to discern the length, look, and color.
Also curious about the interior colors of these structures if anyone has any information or photos
Many thanks!
Regards and Aloha,
Johnny B.
