Dahlgren made smoothbore and rifled guns from 12 pounder (4.62 in) to 20-inch, 1,080 pound.

What are those Dahlgren ratings in inches? I have some stuff on 11 and 15 INCH for the ironclad I'm working on.

I really hate to see a question like this go without a reply.

Have you tried the museums of the representative armories? Watervliet http://www.wva.army.mil/ and Dahlgren http://www.nswc.navy.mil/ ?

If you have looked through their on-line libraries and still don't see what you want, write them a note. You might be surprised.

This is a Dahlgren 60 pound (65 pound) VIII inch gun....

Dahlgren guns

Does anyone have plans, schemes or drawings of Dahlgren 60-pdr naval guns (15-cal. and 13-cal.) from early 1860-s? Several Russian steam frigates (General-Admiral, Alexander Nevsky, Dmitry Donskoy) carried them, and I am looking for the info in order to build a model of one of them sometimes.
Many thanks in advance,
Dmitry Antonov
