Yao’s 1/700 3D printed Spruance Masts

Nicely done. Gone are the blobby and solid mast supports. They provided an SPS-40 radar but they missed the mark. Mostly a solid piece. Use EV’s instead. One truly has to study the Spruance masts before cutting away what you think is an attachment point. I cut the mast away in sections. Attachment points that run to raft base can be cut away, be mindful of the mast’s four legs. The only detail missing was to the forward mast. The inverted V supports that run behind the first and second platforms. Damn noticeable. In Fujimi 1/700 Spruance kits (don’t know about other manufacturers of Spruance kits) this piece is molded separately so some white glue is needed to glue these supports to the back of the 3D printed main mast. Ehh. If only a perfect world.
