After a week of drawing this in AutoCad here some more results, I added some more parts that for sure could be used on either other models or if something breaks than there is a spare pcs. I wonder who has still an Idea of what to draw. I will add Sonar and the lifting eyes for the rudders, Zink anodes, and will try the water marks (here I need measurements please help if you can). My friend was looking into rivets, but how small can we etch these is the question?? So if any of you got an idea, please let us know. I will also make this etch parts available to others when they turn out ok.

I am currently searching for a good font for the "Bismarck Name Plates", so as you can see there is a lot of questions still to be answered.

Here a list what has been drawn so far.

Etch Plate Bismarck 1:200 Trumpeter A4 size ( so there is still al lot of space for ideas)

All parts come with spare, if broken or lost by dismantling.

1 3 Eagle with swastika 10mm x 5mm

2 4 Bismarck Sign 0.05mm x 0.04mm

3 68 x 2 Ladder Iron Hull 2 x 2.5 mm plenty spare

Gratings open/closed

4 24 pcs 2mm x 2mm

5 20 pcs 2mm x 2,5mm

6 44 pcs 2,5mm x 2,5mm

7 20 pcs 3,0mm x 2,0mm

8 14 pcs 3,3mm x 3,0mm

9 20 pcs 4,0mm x 3,0mm

10 20 pcs 5,0mm x 4,0mm

11 20 pcs 5,0mm x 4,0mm

12 48 pcs 6,0mm x 4,0mm

13 20 pcs 7,0mm x 5,0mm

14 28 pcs 1,5mm ø

15 28 pcs 2,0mm ø

16 3 pcs 8mm x 16mm x 15mm (different length diamond shape)

17 3 pcs 8mm x 8mm x 9mm (different length diamond shape)

18 3 pcs 8mm x 12mm x 14mm (different length diamond shape)

19 3 pcs 8mm x 9mm x 11mm (different length diamond shape)

Here the progress of the etching parts of the hull, some details are not visible, such as deck drainage grills and rudder lifting eyes. Anybody out there has more ideas please let me know. Progress of the drawing took time since I had normal work to do. The details take time too.

Hello,

I am very impressed with your work. Especially your CAD work. Would you be willing to e-mail me a copy of the file that includes the sea chest locations and hull plates? I would be more than happy to compensate you for your efforts.

Thanks, Yancey

Finally done with the water intakes, UK Company. They made two for the price of one because the connection lines where a bit thin. The plates need refining, its a learning curve but I am happy with the outcome. at least now I can continue with the hull.

@marengtech, Hi,
I drawn this myself, i did the work through a company in the UK. This is a full set of water intakes and grills that are open and closed. Also the step ions, as these the fragile items I made more than it needed. This set is not cheap, but we can arrange it for you. We need to find a way fro payments include shipping. They are around 100$ each. I will however wait until they arrive and then redraw the Plates to get a better outcome. Wait until i have them then i make pictures in details. I also have the drawing needed to place them correct onto the hull.

I received my etch parts, some need to be re-done, this is because there are some parts that are to thin, these fall off the sheet in the acid bath. I still discuss now with them these issues. All water intakes and Eagle are great, the water intakes have been the goal of the exercise, that has well been worse it. last Pictures show the mishaps, if they come back with how I can improve the next drawing, then there will be more to come on the etching experience.

The Eagle had some bits missing, and some punctures, this comes through the file reduction to another version. I had this also during revising the AutoCad file and copy/paste in the program itself. All a learning curve I guess. We find soon the right way and then there will be an endless addition to the Bismarck as needed. Happy so far.

For the water intakes yes, but for some items I will redraw new templates. I will make separations e.g. intakes, plates, eagle with swat sticker and ultra fine rings for the side water outlets and deck rain grills. thinking of ultra thin, swat sticker for the decks and Arado and what ever else still comes to mind. For now I got the intakes cut out, but will finish the RC and inside compartments. I am afraid to damage paint and these fragile grills.

Hello Indo Bismarck

I come from China, I am sorry, I can't speak English, so I can only use translation software and you communicate with you.
I'm also going to do Trumpeter 1:200 Bismarck, because the research question has not started. In China on Bismarck's information is very small, foreign websites are not many, so my research work has become very difficult.
See your work feels very fine, very good! I hope my Bismarck can do as well as you, but I do not have any details on the hull of the Bismarck or drawings, I hope to get your help, you can share your information and drawings? I would also like to know your source or authenticity of the details of the hull, I hope to be able to restore my Bismarck.
I've collected a number of PDF books about Bismarck, if you have the need, I can send it to you. This is my email: 250645959@qq.com, you can also tell me your email, some information we can share.

I wish you a happy life!

Nice job on the props! I need to make a four blade for my APA that I am putzing away on. It's a 1:120 19' prop so it's bigger, hopefully that makes it easier to construct?

IN ALL PHOTOS I SEE OF TIRPITZ AND IN FILM I DON'T SEE ANY THING LIKE THAT ON BOTTOM .
Dangerous mission sink the TIRPITZ 5/5 the fifth video shows a film going around there's one spot looks like a keel if you watch closely there is no docking keel . if you look closely at photos from stern there is a platform going to keel it give appearance of hard angle . BISMARCK docking keels where internal . member 109 shows drawing of keels if you study drawing you see port side has no large vent so that is top view ON a lot of plans the bottom straight lines are flat with edge blends into hull. on ADMIRAL SHEER DOCKING KEEL IS EXRURNAL there is stern view shows it about a foot wide .Docking keel on most ships are internal .
