I particularly like Song's traditional wood workers workbench! I've always wanted one! Working with wood will always have a natural feel to it, very satisfying.

Cheers: Tom

Always thank you, Tom!
I like someting to make with wood.I feel natural and comfortable from it. Don't hurry and slowly work by hand.
Very old style....analog era.

Yes, the smoothing of the hull is so satisfying, a beautiful faired and smooth shape emerging. The fair lines of a ship is like those of a woman or a violin, perfect. When the hull begins to have finish applied, the effect is even more astounding.

Tom, I don't know if you are being a male chauvinist pig or a classical music snob, but I agree!

Thank you,gentlemen!
It is just wood itself. I've made bow sonar.
And applied putty on the small slits.
Thank you again.

Song has many fine craftsmanship skills, but one of his greatest is the ability to hand carve such items as the bow sonar dome with perfection!

Inspiring as always! Cheers: Tom

Hi mister song

I follow their constructions with interest and on this occasion as well. I have made three Arleigh Burke ships in 1/350 and I have encountered several difficulties when it comes to reflecting the version of the ship. For example, the Uss Momsen has two variants, the early one and the newer one with several differences.
I was wondering which version you've chosen for the Arleigh Burke.
In the rest of the constructions you had chosen the 1/200 scale, I am curious to know if you have chosen 1/144 for more detail?
Thanks greetings.

Hi David

I know the versions of the Arleigh Burkes. I meant that the same ship appears with different variations, for example, the Uss Momsen in her early version did not have the stern Phalanx installed. In other cases, such as the Mustin, they have small variations from the initial configuration. I have recently finished the Uss Laboon that belongs to Flight I and that has various variations, such as the radomes and the installation of the Bushmaster as well as the decoys that are installed. That's why my question to Mr. Song was if he was going to do the initial configuration or a later one.

Song can answer, but generally a scale is often chosen to end up with a certain model overall size. !:144 is a common scale for destroyers, making a pleasant but not huge model. I have built a couple of escorts in this scale whereas 1:192 would be too small and 1:96 too big. Song being a scratch builder of all, scale is at his pleasure. Though not a common scale, I also found 1:120 nice to work in.

Nice model so far!

Cheers: Tom

Thank you,Tom!
It's not great and perfection. It is very common.
