I've been able to do warship numbers and letting for ships using my Cameo Machine, pascal uses a similar device. One can find a plethora of fonts, it will use any fonts on your computer. I have ben able to do draft marks down to 1;144 scale.

Nic work! Tom

Very nice model! :cool_1:

Je peux essayer de te découper plusieurs masques si tu veux, il me faudrait le longueur totale et la hauteur que tu désires pour le nom JACQUES SHIAFFINO . Pour l'arrière, c'est plus compliqué vu la forme.

I have used the following technique to place lettering on models. It depends upon finding some suitable rub-on letters of the right size and font (color doesn't matter).

1. Paint the surface where you want the lettering the color of the letters you want. Let the paint dry.

2. Rub on the letters.

3. Paint over the letters with the background color of the overall surface. Let the paint dry.

4. Peel off the rub-on letters.

This leaves painted letters of the desired font, color and size surrounded by the desired surround color. The letters are just a paint layer thick (not too thick as the rub-ons might be). The letters don't have the clear surround of decals, and they won't yellow with time like decals do.

Phil

Thanks DrPr, but I've tried this method (see previous post) and I was not satisfied because glue from the letters was ledt on the hull
