hello all,

have done some more detaillinig , I detailled the smoke screen canisters.

Next came the 4 deck plates , in the 1st photo you can see the different working stages , in the 2nd photo you can see the result on deck.

Absolutely outstanding work! :thumbs_up_1: I've never seen this method used at this scale but you're pulling it off quite impressively. I'd be scared of knocking those hull padeyes off during subsequent handling but you're clearly more careful than I am!

I may have missed this in an earlier post but do you have a custom photoetch set or are you making your own brass parts from scratch?

I can't wait to see more. Keep going!

have been working on the aft 20 mm AA gun tub , located between N°3 , 3" gun and the depth charge rollers.

yes we have many plasticards builders as masters(Dave. Bill, Russclark and many others)
the list is long. we have more masters of wood modelling too. (Song, Ron(ARH) and more more
and wonderfull metal workers too
this Forum is a mix of many excellent ship modelling workers...
i love this place :wave_1:

P.S. Ludwig great modelling skill showed us..

Setori the styrene (plasticard) here is not expensive and sell plates of 1x2meters a low cost :wave_1:

Where can I find these Plastic sheets. I only know Evergreen sheets which are really expensive.

I'm in france but I can order on the web.

I bought 4' x 8' (1.2m x 2.4m) styrene sheets from McMaster-Carr - a US industrial supplier. Price was $23.59US - about the price of three or four Evergreen styrene packages containing a lot less material. They also have small brass shapes, wire and rod in virtually every possible size and material, tools, etc.

Look for an industrial suppler instead of a hobby supplier. Prices are much less and the variety of tools and materials is much greater. Quality will be excellent.

I have started to work on the forward superstructure .I was working from stern to stem , but this wasn't working to well , so I decided to work from stem to stern. Here are some photo's of the forward superstructure.
