not for one moment did I think that the wood/ bamboo maestro
Son Jung Gun would stoop to 3-D print and resin.. .

I was expressing my admiration by alluding to the staggering precision
and repeatability of the work , ergo looking as precise as a digitally generated item,

something that still eludes me when I have to make more that five of anything..!

Indeed Song has a wonderful talent and persistence to reduce items to their basics to assure that he can duplicate great numbers. In the event a number of basic shapes can produce an accurate representation of a complex original. It's the same genius as the assembly line. His most astounding creation in this line is the anchor stud link chains in small scale. Also the small AA in several of his excellent battleships. He is organized, thoughtful, experienced and skilled!

I still find advantage in standard classic techniques, the hulls of my ARL and APA are wooden as are many of the superstructure bulkheads. Originally all the light AA were of classic materials. Not having Song's true talent I replaced them with ones I designed and printed. There is a pleasure in hand working items. I have built most of the furniture in my house (As well as the house). Today I was building some HPO scale Cedars, tapering trunks with a lovely brass Lei Nelson small plane.

In theory we should achieve the same result without regard to the materials.

It changed very fast world and times.....
It is very rare items handmade.I am very old style man???
It is funnels.
The outside shapes are made by wood turning machine.
The inner part made by drill and file, rolling sand paper.

Having made some of these items by technologically newer methods I alway appreciate Song's wonderful imaginative craftsmanship. Most excellent!

As always Song is the master of wood! Interesting to see after dabbling with styrene in the Nimitz he is completely utilizing wood again!

The complex double angles of the superstructure required much calculation and careful fitting on your part. As always a success in the end! I used to design and construct tents for high altitude mountaineering and am a little familiar with constructing such angled pieces into a 3 dimensional structure! Very nice indeed!

Yes, you are right. The complex doubble angles of the superstructure is dfficult to fit.I've tried it several times.
It is preliminary work to install mast. Flag boxes,stairs,fire hoses...

Having produced a couple of escort ships in this scale I am quite aware of the fine work you have done on the inclined ladders and rails! I originally constructed such ladders from a heavy archive paper and later with printed items which were more uniform. However as usual your unmistakable style using wood craftsmanship works very well.
