Hello Group,

Ludwig that is an outstanding job your doing on your model.
Have you thought about making kits of this scale and selling them?
How many people would be interested in a model kit of this size?

What did you make your plugs with? I have been reading the post and maybe I missed that information, if I did I am sorry. I was looking at the frames you made for one of your plugs and I am trying to figure out what you use. One of the plugs looks like it is made of wood, but I do not believe that wood would last to long in a hot oven. I have been thinking about making a model using the same method, however I never even thought of making the model in 3 sections.

A scale of 1/35 would make a very impressive battleship........... :jump_1:

Outstanding work your doing on your build, I have this link in my favorites so I can get to the page quicker............. :thumbs_up_1:

Darrell

hi all , :wave_1:

An up-date not much.

Image

this is the after funnel which will be formed , mould of the funnel on the forming table , plastic is already over the heating element

Image

the right hand side of the funnel is formed .

Image

this is the complete aft funnel formed , left the formed parts , center the moulds , right platforms to avoid webbing.

Darrel , that thought has crossed my mind , but who will buy a model in scale 1/35 , must I sell only the hull or a complete ship? I have plans of many more ships/boats but which one must I build first? All the plans of ships I have , are of ship which are in scale 1/35 about 3 meters (max) these plans include German , British , Italian and US ships. I am already building a second mould (ship) .

enjoy,

Ludwig

Lol that’s not a bad idea Ludwig you could produce the Flottentorpedoboot type 39 as a kit to buy (just the hull and stack and stuff)!!

Reid

P.S. I am kinda serious

Ludwig, this looks a lot like yours. Did you build yours from these plans?

hi all, :wave_1:

@ diezmon :Yes that is the one , I build my machine from those sets of plans. :thumbs_up_1:

@ Reid : the model of my torpedoboat is not for sale(not yet) I had to correct to many faults , faults I made on the moulds , I have to correct these first.

In the meantime I am thinking of building an other mould but I can not decide which boat , maybe you all can help me out.

-KM Minensuchboot Typ 35 ? (length in 1/35 +/-1.80meters-6 feet)
-US/GB Destroyer Escort/Captain Class Frigate ? (length in 1/35 +/- 2.50meters-7.5 feet)
-RN Gabbiano Class Frigate ? (lenght in 1/35 +/- 1.85meters - 6 feet)
-RN Ciclone Class Torpedoboat ? (lenght in 1/35 +/-2.50meters- 7.5 feet)

I will show you all how I build the moulds , and after that the hull , exactly how I have built my Flottentorpedoboot.

I look forward to any replies.

regards,

Ludwig

Up-date n° ??

Image

Image

copies of the aft mast and searchlight platform. This is how it should look like , carley floats , flak , funnel , mast , searchlight platform.

Image

left : mast , center : searchlight platform , right : struts.

Image

close-up of the underside of the searchlight platform. I had to drill every hole manually to give the platform a perforated look.

Image

first dry fit , the center superstructure is coming together nicely.

Image

view looking front , notice the louvres under the flak platform.

Image

birdseye view

Image

View looking aft , again louvres , center superstructure was above the aft boiler room.

More photo's are being down loaded of the aft Flak platform.

enjoy,

Ludwig

Nice clean work Ludwig. Maybe we can get you to do a Radio Control build one of these days - large models like you build are an impressive sight out on the water.

I look forward to seeing more of you work.

stunningly sharp modelmaking... :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

A real pleasure to follow the methodology!

I loved the perforated platform--breathtaking!
