I am building a 1/72 scale Z plan light Cruiser, that would have probably been called KMS Munich if she would have been finished. |

Attachment: Note the allignment as part of the plans were cut out of the prints, about a scale meter. and the torpedo launchers in the mid ship is actually one deck down under the main weather deck that runs most of the length of the ship from fore to aft.

Attachment: The aft most gun turret is on the lower level that matches the torpedo launchers in the midship. You can see the third barbette casing with out a turret blocking it on the prinnts, however there is a turret on the ship when fineshed.

Attachment: The Model will be about 8 and a half feet long. The Sharnhorst in the same scale is about 11 and the bismark almost 13. which is amazing since the USS Enterpise (CV 65 ) is still the Worlds longest Aircraft Carrier at 1,105 feet long and is 15 feet in this scale.

There is also interesing stuff on ships of this scale on IMPs Malta, and The Jolly Roger shipyard, With all due respect of this forum. This and the other 2 forums seem to be the only ones I have found that are serious and organized to help the Modeller and or Remote Control enthusiest perpetuate the hobies and give a good place to let us all help each other and, a good source for the interested spectator to veiw our respective arts. Thanks goes to the creators and moderators of this and the other sites as it is work and takes time to keep the Ducks inline. I am currently working on a RC forum that I hope to have up and running in the future, but i'm more tied up with building the KMS Munich at the moment, so I am trying to not be so distracted. Thank You for the inerest in my project. |
