Great ships!! Nanushka also...How long did it take to build it and Parchim? Which drawings you use for Nanushka and Parchim?

Would be great to see both on water!

Thank you for sharing.

Cheers,

Yevgeniy
P.S. Oh, yes, I see more pics of Parchim at your link. Would be great to see more pics of Nanushka too :cool_2:

Yevgeniy, the Nanushka 3 was build by my dad who passed away in 2007.
He drew up the plans himself and before he died he started to draw up the Parchim 2 but hey they never completed.
As for more pictures keep watching here, more likely I will shoot both since from same navy and era. I also post to the Hubertus M.B.C. any the Admiral Kuznetsov Picasa collection.

Hi Mike Very nice model indeed .What method did you use to build the hull. TF72 member Peter Jones has been visiting he is due to fly back to OZ next week. He's also had a peek at the Steregushchiy drawings.

Correct No mould just foam plaster then fiberglass and dig out the boat simply speaking that is, there is a bit more to it though.

Same as the Admiral Kuznetsov foam base hull. Hows about a sneak peek on the Steregushchiy post.

Glad you like the post Yevgeniy.
There may be a while before I continue of the Parchim, I'll be swinging back to the Kashin and Kuznetsov for a while.

Ozpirate, hi! I know you are now in Kashin and Kuznetsov build so it may be some time before there will be any new pics of Parchim and Nanuchka but I wonder did you ever by chance shoot a video of Nanuchka on water? It is one of my dream-ships and I am very much interested to see how it looks in 1/50 running on water... One of my favourite amusements is to contemplate whether 1/50 (46,6 inches?) will be good enough for effective look or may be 1/40 (58 inches) are needed especially as I read Nanuchka 1:1 was not very sea-worthy ship (compared to other corvettes). Sorry to go ahead - will keep watching here.

Cheers,

Yevgeniy

I have seen Mick's Nanu-III on the water and she runs beautifully!! looks very scale like on the water. She runs a single motor driving three shafts via a sweetly setup friction drive, prehap's Mick will post some pic's of her internals?

Cheers Bruce :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

Yes, I hope for that also and video too if there is any.

I started to hesitate whether 1:50 is enough for RC model of Nanuchka 1234 project after I saw video of Chinese model of 1241 Tarantula video can be downloaded from here http://scalespeed.com/homepage_en.htm - dispite of 1:50 scale it behaves quite toylike. It is 56 meters in 1:1: while Nanuchka 59,3 meters long - so I believe the ships are more or less compatible esp in 1:50...

Of course the bigger is the model the more realistic it looks but 1:40 (1,49 meter long for Nanuchka) is a little too big :cool_2: for my workbench at least so I wonder about best scale. Now I only amuse myself with this thinking but one day I am going to build it...

Cheers,

Yevgeniy

One of the best things I have seen in my life :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1: :thumbs_up_1:

There is no problem with plans - they are available on paper now plus there is a good book about 1234 project with drawings and photos. Plus there is lot of materials on site forum.airbase.ru here http://forums.airbase.ru/2008/09/t63643 ... burun.html

Thank you Mick for great pleasure for seeing your models!!! Your Nanuchka looks like real ship on water - right scale and size! :thumbs_up_1: I am sure Parchim will be good companion!

Kind regards,

Yevgeniy
