Hi

Elastic bands are not always easy to apply, wondering what you use.

I use Tamiya tape, i don’t think it would work for me. Maybe use the cheap blue one from the hardware store???

Thxs again

It's not as simple as stating the best way. There are ways that are better for certain applications.

What are you gluing together? What glue are you using?

Most of the time I use a fast drying liquid cement like MEK or Methyline Chloride, it melds the plastic together so fast, that I can hold the pieces together for a few seconds and then put it down for a few minutes and it's done. No need for extra clamps or tape or rubber bands.

If there is a part that requires clamping, then masking tape, or scotch tape, or little quick clamps with the rubber 'feet' or even large paper clips, depending on shape and size.

There have also been times that it was easier to tack a few spots together with super glue, then apply the liquid cement.

Don't stress about the 'Best way'!! Try different things until you are happy with the result.
