I've added details to the Mk26 Radar Room: Lockers, vents, fire control radar unit, bulwark, whip antenna mounting supports.

If this was 1/700 I think it would be accepted in your Postwar 1/700 USN thread, right? Too, bad its 1/350. :heh: :wave_1:

I appreciate your monitoring my progress.

Carl, I m always watching your progress. One of my satellites is costantly monitoring you. :heh: :heh: :heh:

Here is another wonderful 1/144 scale Barnegat/Casco class AVP/WHEC being scratch built by a fellow modeler and seaplane tender small enthusiast, Roland M.

Roland is building the USCGC Coos Bay WHEC-376. He surved on it and the USCGC Humbolt WHEC-372.

He and bwross11 are almost neck-and-neck in their progress on their builds. This is a first time for Roland and he's a natural, I think!

These have been called Torpedo Splinter Shields (AVPs stored torpedos on the main deck behind them), Air Castles, Companionway Enclosures, and Spray Shields.

Still some fine-tuning sanding to go on this one.

Thank you, very much, Bob!

I've been watching your Doyle FFG from afar. That metal gun turret is most impressive!! Really!

I like your 1/20 train, too! I'm a boiler inspector, so the steam engines interest me. I inspect the boilers on the trains at the local zoo, here.

The Flagship Models' SPS-29 kind of looks like a furnace grate, but it'll have to do.

I'll have to clean up some of the glue globs, here and there.

I had previously sanded off the small boat cradles while clearing the aft O2 level of everything that didn't belong on my 311' Cutter. I have recreated the cradles in their new positions, here, and added some small details around the stack.

More details added amidships. Life Jacket Lockers, Vent Stack, and Galley Vents. And I might end up using this 1/700 winch from Battlefleet Models.

The Galley Vents aren't permanent, yet. I may make them larger in diameter or create some caps for them if I find better photos of this area of the ship(s).

Thanks, Tim!

I hope that you don't mind that this "Calling all.........Fans" thread has turned into a WIP thread. I think its helping to keep my thread alive. Especially with the works of Bruce Ross and Roland M. Without the WIP, I fear that there wouldn't be much interest. I'm trying to spark more interest in this class of little ships. I'd love to see others build this kit!

Some stack details and starting the deck painting. The hull color is curing before masking and painting the boot top and lower hull.
