Progress has been going well, now the base is nearly finished, just finished painting the buildings and the crane. the mountain behind also finished. I am very satisfy with the crane, as the crane looks good after weathering.

Going to start painting the ship within this week.

Not only a lovely build, but very helpful in my own build!

I'm working on a Kagero and the plans are not very good when it comes to trying to figure out what things are and how to build them... specifically with the platforms and whatnot... the few pics I found online didn't help either - but your pictures of the kit sure do! I'm going to have to bookmark this so I can look it up next time I go to scratchbuild the superstructure!

The mountain, I use toilet paper to build up the shape, and then put putty on it. I then painted it with a brownish Warhammer color (the paint is think enough to cover all the gaps). All these were done within 1 hour, very enjoyable work indeed!

More photos of the progree so far. You can see the warehouse with little people inside, the painted Yukikaze next to the dock.

In the middle of the mountain, you see a small area/ open space in which I am going to build a small Japanese Shine and put it there. There is a stair case accessing the mid level from the dockyard. The inspiration came from Kure in which I saw a Yamato Shine (probably for the crews of the Battleship Yamato) in the mide level of the mountain not far away from the dockyard where Yamato was built.

Oh... by the way................ I dropped the Yukikaze onto the ground after taking these photos.........................so... reconstruction begin...... perhaps that is why it is in the dockyard............... SIGH* *********...... $@&$&*!(*%^!!!!!!

I attached two photos of the destroyer IJN Harusame that I have done last year. That is my first destroyer that I have ever done for competition purpose. The ship was sunk by B-25, that is why I decide to show the ship under attack by B-25.

The techniques were learned from making the Harusame and now applied onto the Yukikaze.

Excellent work, on both ships. Do you mind my asking how you did the water? It looks fantastic!

Some readers asked me if I can post more pics of the progress of super-detailing the Yukikaze for their reference. Here are some of the photos.
