I've pretty much finished the main construction part. I wanted to take a photo of this stage because it's been a lot of work so far and I wanted to record some indication of what I did. The weapon systems and smaller details on the deck will be added after painting.



I started this a very long time ago. To give you some indication how long ago, this model is slightly oversize because I tried to resize the drawings to 1/700 and the optical enlarging on the photocopier I used wasn't quite accurate enough.

Scratchbuilding tends to take a lot of time... but the results can be very rewarding!
