Well, this is neither a carrier , nor it is american, but I still checked it out, 'cause it had your name all over it.
Very impressive build, I can't imagine weathering, painting all that surface!!! Nice use for the teflon tape! :thumbs_up_1:
great work! I'd say it could use more weathering, but now that I think of it, the real ship didn't have much chance to get too dirty/rusty before being sunk
I like the meaning of the flags...

By the by: where did you get the crew figures?

Keep going Ryan, it's very sharp so far!

I just put in an order with these guys. Bought 5 sets of the 25 mm guns, skylight hatches, binoculars, 60 and 110 cm search lights. Looks promising. I had already put together my 25 mm AA guns but these come in one piece. And look more complete and detailed. Should be getting these in a couple weeks.

I can't recommend the Shapeway 25mm IJN guns. They are too brittle. Trying to get the guns out of the sprue I tore off guns from 2 of them. Maybe paint them before you try to get them off. Might add some strength. But now you have to worry about the guns coming off after you place them. Would be nice if I could add the metal guns I have onto these turrets. HMMMMM....
