The Tamiya 1/700 little tanker from the tugger set with Five Star PE and a little home brewing.

PE with some piping made from 0.15 wire.

Little valves are from 25mm gun controls.

Deck Painted

Image
Painted Kure Grey top structure and Saesbo grey on the lower hull. Given a light wash ready for some deck detail.

They were coastal tankers carrying fuel from fleet bases to fitting yards. There were 4 of the Juyusen 3128 built.

Pretty much finished with the deck fittings installed. Will probably add flag poles and flag.

Very cool to see it built!

I have also completed it just a year ago or so. It was a superb little palette cleanser.

My version took a lot of creative license and I did not have your excellent PE set, however. I like how you decorated yours!
