Thanks guys!
Serhan, I was thinking about getting Isokaze kit too. In 1/350 I have Yukikaze, Hobby Station Akizuki 1942 while Trumpy´s Suzutsuki 1945 is on the way from HLJ. Long Lancers rule! :thumbs_up_1:

New photos. Unlikely most popular depictions, even by the Hasegawa kit and LR set, the splinter shielding around the forward 25mm AA mount and the twin triple 25mm AA mounts in front of funnel #2 is not solid steel shielding. In fact, it is not shielding at all. These were always two bar railings covered with canvas. There are plenty of photographic evidence to bear this out for all IJN destroyer classes prior to the mid-production Yugumo and Matsu class DD (where solid steel splinter shielding for these locations was first introduced).

Torpedo loading/handling cranes were also added. I´ve decided to use kit´s rear crane as I like it better than LR´s one (this one was cannibalized for extra detailing)

Overall view. The bridge structure is just dryfitted

Ups, forgot to add my XO... Ladies and gentlemen, Oscar The Cat! He simply adores playing with putty tube in kit´s box! :D :D

Keep your eye on Oscar. He looks like he is up to no good.

Oh and nice work on the DD. :thumbs_up_1:

Looking very good and great to know that someone is paying attention to details like railings, and not splinter shielding, around the 25mm mounts. Extra points for that :thumbs_up_1:
