As a followup to my scratch built USS Argonne, here is another one that will probably never have a high enough demand to warrant a kit being produced of her. This is my attempt at scratch building the USS Oglala as she appeared on the morning of Dec.7th 1941 while at Pearl Harbor. She is another vital piece to my PHNY diorama and will be berthed with USS Helena at the 1010 dock.

Thanks Martin! I’m learning as I go with these scratch builds. So far there has been enough photos for me to get it kind of right. The next one that I have to scratch build has me a bit worried given the lack of info and pics available. It is USS Rigel. She will be a bit of a challenge for me. All the rest of the ships in the yard that day I think I have a decent game plan for.
