finaly found some motivation to continue...weather just too good
the last grues of LCVP's (A) weren't realy to my liking so I started all over again ... 3 bars in C make 1 B.... they look better
also added the flagg and flagg pole... had a little bit forgotten to ad that... well its done

I had a question about those 3 pieces getting 1... an other view shows why ...this type of say "rail look" you can only get when composing it from different pieces joined together ..... here you can understand why I wasn't happy with first make

no I made it differently...made the curve from 1 full plastic piece... then added the 2 strait triple parts... that wasn't good as the curve is without a groove ... that's why I made new pieces and this time in 1 piece ...although the bad one was used as a base for size and form

Wow! Just beautiful.

Such a far cry from what I built so many, many, many years ago. :-)

Indeed the Whelan Davits are a PITA due to the curve in the rails However this was the reason they could hang over the side to lower the boats. More than a little fun to produce the what seems to be hundreds of sheaves and blocks necessary!

Bogged down with lack of rigging enthusiasm on my project!

Cheers! Tom

Fantastic work! I love it when someone takes one of the old classic kits and makes a work of art out of it. Thank you for the tips on the rigging of the booms and davits, definitely will come in handy in the future.

Dave

Wow that’s a beautiful ship with tons of details. I’m amazed by the rigging on all the cranes. Really shows well.

This has been a fun project to watch unfold. The end result clearly shows that all your efforts were worthwhile. :nod_2:

You may want to post this in "What's New" so that even more people can enjoy it.
