Make 127mm AA-gun turrets using Flyhawk PE and a little scratchbuild (ladders, breechs of guns)
Barrels from Master
Image

And I don't cut through the back of the AA-turrets
Maybe it's mistake

Thanks to all!

3 nights I spent on the assembly of funnels:
- remove plastic grilles (replace by Flyhawk PE)
- scratchbuild details inside funnels using Evergreen plastic 0.15mm
- scratchbuild pipes from wire
- fixing rings on pipes from Rainbow PE
- drill 0.1 mm holes on the funnels
- over grilles and details from Flyhawk PE
- remove 1 pipe from each side of forward funnel (Haguro had only 1 pipe on each side of funnel, Nachi - 2)

Total number of details at funnes (without PE railings) - 70
PE Railings on funnels will be install after painting.

Yesterday, I bought North Star Models resin crew
"Japanese Navy Parade" and ... "Imperial Russian Navy in working position" :heh:
It's not a joke
North Star doesn't make Japanese Navy in working position in this scale, and I needed a way out
So I bought Russians
In 1/700 scale nobody will be able to distinguish the Japanese from Russian
Because they have similar uniform
Unfortunately japanese uniform isn't for tropics...

Image

The height of figures equal to 2.5-2.7 mm
I have headlight magnifier, super thin brush size 10/0 and much experience (when I paint in January 143 resin crewmens in 1/350 for battleship Sevastopol)

Thank you!
In detailing funnels I use Takao schemes (Nachi-class funnels had similar construction)

Pipes on funnels were made using these photos of Haguro

Nachi had similar pipes (1 pipe on each sidewall of first funnel)

Myoko and Ashigata had 2 pipes on each sidewall of first funnel

Really excellent PE work in such a tiny scale, but...they aren't going to make you sling multicolored paint at this thing for some sort of ARP ship promotional stunt, are they Andrew? :p

(Yes, I know the Haguro is one of the new anime ships WG will be offering soon.)
