very nice build...about twice my size if I see good...great scratch build

It's 1:120, so nearly 3 X. Each scale has it's challenges and rewards. You can add a lot more detail, but then again you have to. I'll guess that 95% of your time on this project will be modifying or scratch building. Your king posts came out really nice! Keep up the fun work!

not sure I'm gonna keep this color for LCM's...maybe make them lighter...on 1 I added some tiny reinforcements on cargo protection
fixed the second platform so front main mast and second platform on it can be started
made a new first platform so its same hight as second ...needs fine tuning
painted a LCVP to see how they look
did some painting and fine tuning on 2 first levels of main castle (they are fixed now together) and also more fine tuning done on 2 next levels
the square base on top fly is to big..will have to re-do that there will be a round platform on it
a lot done ...and when looking you'd say compared with yesterday's picture..... nothing done .....so frustrating lol

as basically the structure and big modifications are done....doing fine tuning and detailing ...here bow part...as I scraped all off...had to make new cabestans and put anchor chain in place

concentrated my time on paint patern of center...a lot had to be done to eliminate the joint line

anybody know what this is?....a search light or a rangefinder for AA....I don have a clear picture of it

started making the second platform on front main mast
also...as I made 5" guns....the kit twin 40mm are too awefull aswell..... so starting scratch new ones

some more done on these small twin 40mm AA guns...and to see size and compare with kit

did some work on rangefinder for top fly bridge where 8 X 20mm AA are

Tiny work! The range finder is used for the 5" and navigation. 20 mm don't use rangefinders. The 40 mm of course use the MK 51 director units associated with each mount.

The "paint job" looks good. You might check, I don't think any of these ships had a rake to the funnel.

a small update...looks good with new main gun and new dual 40mm

everything on is fixed now...starting more and more detailing...from center out

some more details done on front ...and to see well a close up
also my LCM and LCVP's are almost finished, LCVP are from arsenal

anybody has an idea what's on these small platforms.... A and B maybe searchlights...C some sort of mesure or observation equipement?
