Good photography is an art in itself.

Your models looks to be a nice and tidy build! Although it must be said that an uncluttered background to the photographies - such as a large white sheet of paper - would make the model a lot easier to see.

Thanks for the suggestion. I guess it means that I will have to clean my workbench.

Since the model's done, you could also just move it somewhere with more light and with a neater background and photograph it there?

From the pics, I cant say im a fan of this rigging material given how it doesnt sag and rather bends in this circular fashion round the masts .... is that something you did or the material itself is not that good? Im not convinced this is the best rigging material but I only comment because you seem happy with it so just making sure.

As others said - pics like this ok for WIP, but for final build you must do your work justice and make a nice image to share with us. :D

I use black fishing line for rigging but I fully admit I'ts not one of my strengths. It does tend to bend arounf the glue point. I have tried stretched sprue but I'm not that impressed with it either. What do you guys use?

Personally I use the Modelkasten tungsten wire in various sizes, cut to exact length. it is a bit tricky at first but once you get the hang of it - it is fantastic and nothing touches it. It is very pricey though - 30 dollars for 5metres. The thing is made out of metal, so it has a dark grey tone and reflects light. It looks the part.

Other option is Caenis. This is what many use. It is a bit too "black" for my taste but it works.

I used fine ez line some time ago but went to a similar stuff by uschi van der rosten

ez line is too wide and seems somewhat flat, uschi is far finer and doesnt give this flat feeling. and also, ez line seems to lose color and become somewhat transparent when aging, and uschi remains far better.

I'm going to use ez-line on my Exeter, though I am concerned with the thinness of the masts and the cross pieces. The rear mast is the most concerning because it is very very thin. Well fingers crossed
