Completed today: the 1967 vintage Pyro kit of USS Washington, decked out in an approximation of Measure 12R paint. It's an old kit, and things don't line up really well. But it was a fun project. The AA suite is certainly not 1942-accurate, but "it'll do".

Nice job! :thumbs_up_1: In this day and age of always going for the next level in detail and accuracy, it's refreshing to see an old classic cleanly built.

Thank you Matt.

The most annoying part of this build was realizing the upper and lower hulls don't exactly align all the way around. And the misalignment isn't even consistent. I'd already glued and painted everything on both halves, and gluing top-to-bottom was the very last step. Some putty fixed the worst gaps and misalignments, but there are still a couple of "2-foot wide ledges" along the waterline in spots.
