Just finished this Repulse build. Took some pics of it with Prince of Wales....I mean how could I not??? It's weird to see two ships in one photo. Never done that before.

Sweet Mother of Pearl, that is f**king awesome!!

The last photo evokes thoughts of the two of them transiting the Johore Strait, as they sailed into history.

If only Tamiya or someone else creates 1/350 versions of the RN's E class destroyers as well as the V&W class HMAS Vampire for sargentx, then Force Z would be complete*.

*the S class HMS Tenedos was detached before the main air attack

Some asked what "museum quality" means...

Well, there you have it.

Hey Chris. It feels like each new model I see from you represents a refinement over the prior example which is amazing given the quality of your miniature works of art over many iterations. I saw you evolving your seascapes to a point of perfection and now your subjects are following suit. This is the first model I've seen where they are so thoroughly blended into the diorama that your just see the entire work and say - I'm there...

Amazing effort Chris. Matt

Thanks man, that means a lot.
I'm pretty happy with the last 5 or so models....and not so much with some of the older ones. But I guess it's an evolving art right?
At some point, something clicked in my head and I decided that if I'm going to spend hundreds of dollars and all this time, the final thing may as well be as perfect as I can possibly manage....because experience tells me that I can't stand living with half-assed models; eventually I'll throw them away. Thanks again for the kind words. Looking through the galleries at so many awesome models is always inspiring me to push harder.
